CONSERVATION EFFORTS WE’VE MADE

8 ACRES DONATED IN THE LA PURISIMA MITIGATION BANK
A major permanent conservation effort to protect several threatened and endangered species within the Purisima Hills in Santa Barbara County. As well as permanent protection of critically important grasslands and oak woodlands.

500 ACRES DONATED TO THE SANTA BARBARA LAND TRUST CONSERVATION EASEMENT
Protected habitat types on Solis’ Farm include endangered California tiger salamander, western spadefoot toad, coast live oak woodland, and California sagebrush scrub habitat. The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County has helped to preserve over 27,000 acres of natural resources and agricultural lands.

WE BUILT A SANCTUARY FOR ENDAGERED SPECIES INCLUDING THE CALIFORNIA TIGER SALAMANDER & WESTERN SPADEFOOT TOAD FOR BREEDING & MIGRATION
Through our efforts to protect Endangered Species and their habitat we worked closely with Fish and Wildlife Departments on several mitigation measures. Including the establishment of a new breeding pond located within a new built 4.3-acre nature reserve to provide protected breeding, dispersal habitat and relocation of larva from the existing basins.  These are moved to the new pond to ensure proper birth rates and then migration to safe woodland habitat.
